Trump vs Biden: Climate Fiasco

Check
According to NASA, if the two swaths of ice in Greenland and Antarctica that contain 99% of the world freshwater ice were to melt, the sea level would rise by hundreds of feet. Both sheets have seen a decline in mass since 2002, with the pace accelerating since 2009.
The numbers show that the extent of the ice at both poles is smaller than it was decades ago. The shrinkage is more striking in the Arctic, but the overall trend is downward at both ends of the earth.
The Case for Trump
Even if human activity is exacerbating global warming, our planet is currently undergoing a natural warming cycle, coming out of a long cooling cycle which persisted throughout most of the Middle Ages.
“It is tempting to say that the record low we are seeing this year is global warming finally catching up with Antarctica,” a NASA sea ice scientist said in 2017. “However, this might just be an extreme case of pushing the envelope of year-to-year variability. We’ll need to have several more years of data to be able to say there has been a significant change in the trend.”
